Lisle High School Additions

ARCHITECT: Perkins + Will

Three major additions to the existing high school. A 22,700 sq. ft. gymnasium addition plus circulation spine and a 20,000 sq. ft. theater/stage/lobby plus band room addition are located on the north end of the existing school. The gymnasium and theater spaces have gently arcing roofs formed with specially fabricated long-span steel joists. The rear of the gymnasium features a second floor area, housing workout spaces, built over an existing roof. There is also a two-story library addition constructed at the south end of the existing school. The steel framed additions are clad in brick.
