LOCATION: Addison, IL

A 56,000 gsf library. The steel building consists of full first and second floors and a partial third floor. The remainder of the roof at the third level is designed as a green roof with an option for future expansion. The building is framed in structural steel and clad in masonry and a curtain wall system. This project, completed in 2008, was one of the early adopters of BIM technology, with the construction documents for the whole project team, including the architect, structural engineer, and MEP engineer, completed using Revit software.
